One thing took root in my mind - this world is based on morality - the glory of truth kept rising near me.

The true and meaningful life in the world belongs to the one who does good even to the one who does wrong.

Jesus has given the defintion of an ideal religion in the verses of the Bible. The 'Sermon on the Mount' inlcudes all those sacred spiritual rites and the prayer to the God contains all that is also conveyed through the few words of Gayatri Mantra.

My study of the Quran has convinced me that the basis of Islam is not violence but pure peace.

If we believe in non-violence, it would not be right if we refuse to protect the weak in the name of non-violence. I may be ready to embrace even a snake, but if it comes to bite you, I will kill it to protect you.

I consider Islam to be a religion of peace in the same way as Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism.

When doubt surrounds me, despair confronts me, and not even a ray of light is visible on the horizon, I take refuge in the Bhagwad Gita. One or the other verse of it reassures me, and I start smiling even in the midst of deep sadness.

I know the path. It is sharp and winding. Like the edge of a sword. Yet I find joy in walking upon it.

Even if hundreds like me are sacrificed, Victory must belong to truth. Do not be bothered about a mere mortal as me, as the truth must never be compromised.
